Dear Ones,
The month of May was also quite busy as Kevin spent some time transitioning to take over as Field Director for Congo for next year. Please pray much for him as he learns so many new things. This position includes alot of computer work, and that isn't our strength. We have to keep remembering that when we are weakest then He is strongest. Kevin also helped "fill in" for Stan Hotalen who was away for a month. He enjoyed leading the Bible study for the English group....most are from India or the Phillipines. They brought two new guys to the study who don't know Jesus yet....It was exciting to hear their questions and realize that God is already drawing them to Himself. Kevin continues to meet with Saari and they continue to have good conversations about Jesus and the gospel verses Islam. Keep praying that soon Saari will give his life to Jesus Christ.
During the month
of May, Joyce
taught the
course on the
Doctrine of the
Holy Spirit in
Brazzaville.
She also had
opportunity to
hold a seminar
for youth on the
Biblical view of
Sexuality.
About 50 youth
attended. God
really enabled
as they asked
many questions.
The month of
June finds Kevin
and Joyce both
teaching in the
Pointe Noire
Bible School.
Joyce is
teaching the
course on
Christian
Education and
Kevin is
teaching a
course called "
Resolving Life's
Problems."
Please pray for
renewed strength
daily, wisdom,
grace, and
patience for
both of us.
Our team in
Congo is rapidly
dwindling due to
Home
assignments.
Julians,
Bellamys, Anne
Stephens and
Chia Lin Yu are
all on Home
Assignment this
year. This
means that their
ministries have
to be covered by
the rest of us
here. That
means that we
all have to
double up on our
work load.
