Dear Ones,
THANK YOU FOR PRAYING!!! God
really answered your prayers. One of the agents that the
immigration office was sending to "watch us" showed up at our
Center, but when he found out that we were going to a secluded
place and planning to remain there all week, he didn't get on the
bus and ended up not ever coming out at all.....Thank you for
Praying!
We had a great week together. God
worked in the participant's hearts and in ours as well. Even though
the participants were a diverse group, in age and churches, they
were able to share right away and we were all enriched by each other
in the discussions. A pastor preached in Brazzaville on how we
destroy relationships, using the materials from the workshop....so
this is already impacting the larger body of Christ. So many of the
participants testified as to the difference that this workshop has
made already in their lives. Praise HIM!!!
I really enjoyed spending time and
ministering with my brother Al Stombaugh. What an extra blessing!
Our children are doing well....Shealyn
continues to excel at her nursing course and she and husband Jason
are planning a trip to visit Congo in the fall. Shannon is very
happy this week as her husband Steve has a two week break from his
tour of duty in Iraq. They are enjoying some time at a resort.
Shawn and Becky are getting ready for their departure for Language
study in France next fall. They are purchasing things for their
home in Mali and getting lots of paper work done. Aiden and Ella
are doing well also and growing and progressing...How blessed we
are.
Kevin had a real opening to talk to
his muslim friend Saari. They were able to discuss Jesus and who
He is. Saari wants to compare the Bible and the Koran. This is all
as a result of your prayers. Please keep praying that God will
speak to Saari's heart. Pray that Kevin will have the right words
to say. Pray that Saari's eyes will be opened.
A team of 7 people from Owen Sound
Church are here presently working on various projects. Pray for
protection for them as they are using scaffolding ect. Pray for
strength and health for them. It is encouraging for us to have
people full of energy come out to help on these projects.
I will begin teaching the module on
the Doctrine of the Holy Spirit on Monday at the Bible School .
Pray that I will have wisdom and that my health will return before
then...I have had a cold for a few days.
Our electricity still isn't
on...rumors are that it may be as long as 6 months....BUT...God has
provided, through some of His servants, a wonderful new generator
that works really well and is dependable!!! Please praise HIM for
that....What a wonderful blessing!!
Oh...the ship was shifted to allow
the other ships to enter the port so we have carrots back in the
grocery stores! This is another praise!!! Thank you so much for
being our partners in prayer and giving. You encourage us so
much!
In Him, Joyce
