Dear Praying Friends,

Thank you for your prayers and gifts! God is using you to help us reach people here in West Africa and we are grateful.

1. Thanks to your prayers and gifts, Debbi will be attending the Africa Round Table conference in South Africa March 25-30, 2007! We are rejoicing that the amount of money that's been promised comes to the exact amount she needs. We will keep you posted as this new ministry of starting Christian primary schools gets off the ground.

2. Thanks to your prayers and gifts, we were able to spend a week in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire to teach and fix computers at the Alliance Seminary.  Since we ministered there from 1998-2002, we have a deep interest and love for this strategic ministry which impacts many French-speaking African countries.  Our trip was financed through the generosity of gifts given to us for our work - without these gifts we could not have accepted the invitation to minister at the Alliance Seminary.

Would you please continue in prayer for the following needs:

1. Steve is leaving on December 6th for a first-ever trip to engage in ministry to Dafing people in the country of Mali.  This unreached ethnic group with whom we've worked for many years in Burkina spills over the border and efforts are being made to reach Dafing in Mali with the Gospel of Christ. Steve will take 3 Dafing pastors from Burkina with him to teach and encourage new Dafing Christians, as well as evangelize unreached villages. Pray for protection on the rough roads, and for the anointing of the Holy Spirit on this venture.

2. We are presently having a unique opportunity to minister to a young woman who is the wife of Yacouba, a spiritual son of ours whom we have known for over 20 years. Yacouba's wife, Rachelle, has lost 4 babies in the third trimester of pregnancy and is now entering the 8th month of her 5th pregnancy. Debbi found her the best doctor in Ouaga and has been taking her for her appointments. Since no obvious reason has been found for the loss of these babies, every precaution is being taken to monitor Rachelle's pregnancy.  She came to stay with us this week and will be here until after her delivery.  We are all very nervous about this situation and are anxious to have your prayer support that this baby will not have to be delivered too prematurely.

As we celebrate all that we have to be grateful for this Thanksgiving, we want to extend our special gratitude to each of you for your prayers and gifts. We will be having a big dinner with our missionary colleagues on Thursday and will be remembering you as you celebrate far across the ocean!

With grateful hearts,

Steve and Debbi
