Dear Partners in
Prayer,
It was great to
get home to
Ouagadougou on
Saturday
evening! The
weather is hot
and the people
are
incredibly friendly
- what a great
place to be.
Steve had 3
bouquets of
flowers
waiting for me -
after a month
apart he said
one bouquet was
not enough! He
and Elizabeth
seem to have
survived just
fine without me.
Thank you for
your prayers for
my 3-week tour
in the Erie, PA
area, and my
visits with
family. I had an
unusual sense of
God's blessin

g
and peace
over my family
and me during
that month. It
was great to see
Daniel and Jodi
again and to
visit Sarah at
Geneva
College. I thoroughly
enjoyed
connecting with
many wonderful
people in the
Erie area
churches
who ministered
to me and
blessed me in
countless ways.
A thank you
seems inadequate
to express my
gratitude for
all that was
showered upon me
- comfortable
homes to stay
in, delicious
meals,
sightseeing
tours,
information and
resources about
home schooling,
love offerings
and gifts, times
of sharing and
prayer. My trip
also enabled
me to see some
old friends and
to visit Eden
Christian
Academy in
Pittsburgh where
I taught for 3
years.
After being
served and
waited on for
these past few
weeks, I am more
than ready to
dive back into
my ministry here
in Ouaga. Steve
has been working
very hard in my
absence. He was
able to complete
a project to
give high speed
internet access
to our
missionary team
here, and
already has the
next few months
booked up with
evangelism
trips, preaching
at conferences,
and construction
projects. We
would both
greatly
appreciate your
prayers for the
following
requests:
1. A new session
of English is
beginning this
evening.
Pray that God
will lead people
to us
who are
spiritually
hungry and that
I will be used
to draw them to
Jesus Christ.

2. Pray
for direction
as we make new
inroads into the
Dafing and
Nounouma
unreached people
groups. Pray for
divine
encounters and
for changed
lives.
3. We have a
trip planned to
Abidjan, Cote
d'Ivoire next
month. I will be
teaching a
Christian
Education course
in module form
to the students'
wives at the
Alliance
Seminary where
we ministered
for several
years (the
FATEAC), and
Steve will be
lending a hand
with some
technology
projects. We are
especially
looking forward
to the
opportunity to
interact with
the students -
future church
leaders from all
over
French-speaking
Africa.
Pray that we
will be a
blessing and
encouragement
to both staff
and students at
the FATEAC
during our brief
time there (Nov.
11-18).
