Children's Church
For the
grades 1-4 we have been
using material written by Karen Henely.
We have covered three books
which include Salvation,
Lordship and Worship and are
now starting the 13 lessons
on prayer. The children will
hear and read scripture, be
challenged with questions
about what they have heard
and participate in a hands
on activity to enrich
learning. Hopefully when the
lessons are completed they
will understand the
privilege and importance of
prayer and have the life
long desire to communicate
with our Lord and Savior.
Preschool through Kindergarten been being taught with material called Route 52; a 52 week Bible journey for kids. We talk about God and thank Him for what he made, celebrate His Son, Jesus and practice doing what God's word says. Since we are nearing the end of this book new material is on the horizon.
We are
always looking for teachers
with a heart for children's
ministry and new ideas.
Anyone who is interested in
helping or who has
suggestions or ideas is
encouraged to see me.
This week
we had our first monthly
special. We all gathered to
hear a children's
sermon/object lesson given
by Archie Charron and sang
some fun, worship songs with
motions to get all of the
children involved in
worship. We plan to add this
to our Children's Church
format once each month to
model the form of worship
the adults participate in.
